Chase stands alone as the worst customer service organization I've ever dealt with. For 5 months, I've been attempting to re-establish (due to a change of address) automatic payment on my auto loan. Over this span of time, I've talked to 7 service representatives and two "supervisors". In each case, they are "sure" that it is straightened out...but it never is.Most recently, I was advised not to mail in the payment coupon, or I would be making a double payment (and I certainly did not trust them to be able to handle that correctly). Naturally, the automatic payment did not take place and I was subsequently charged a late fee and labeled a "late payer". When I talked to the service representative (Sheree), she told me that she couldn't help me because all their computer system were down...a fact that I confirmed was a lie by immediately calling the same number and talking to another service rep who stated the system had been fine all day. On four separate occasions, I've been promised return phone calls. I've never received one.
Frustrated beyond limits, I decided to pay Chase off and be done with them. I called USAA. The phone was answered immediately by a real person, who issued the loan (at a much better interest rate), established automatic payment, and paid my Chase loan for me...all in less than 10 minutes. I'll laugh if anyone ever suggests I bank with Chase again.
