Beware of the "Good Faith" Estimate Scam!

I recently had a good faith done for a home loan by a Chase Senior Loan Officer (came highly recommended by the Realtors) who stated that he could save me hundreds of dollars on closing costs when compared to two other good faiths I had previously secured. I was amazed until I realized that he had left out the appraisal fee from the closing cost line items (as he requested this up front), but which the other two good faiths had included. Some savings! Should I believe anything that Chase has to say.
